Son charged with first-degree murder of prominent dental industry leader

Henry Doyle, a 58-year-old prominent figure in the dental industry.

The BC Prosecution Service has approved one count of first-degree murder against the son of Henry Doyle, a 58-year-old prominent figure in the dental industry. The charges were announced on Friday, Sept. 13.

The RCMP stated that Doyle’s 26-year-old son, Jackson Doyle, remains in custody pending his first court appearance.

The charges come nearly a year after Henry Doyle was found with serious injuries on Klein Lake Forest Service Road in Egmont, B.C., on Sept. 23, 2023. The Sunshine Coast RCMP responded to reports of a suspicious death. Despite first responders providing emergency aid, Doyle succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

There is no further information on the case at this time.

Last year, Oral Health Group expressed its condolences to Doyle’s family and colleagues. Doyle was the president and founder of Heaps & Doyle Company, a national dental services provider and customer of Oral Health Group. He also served as president of the Dental Industry Association of Canada (DIAC).
