My Review of E.L.F. Pout Clout Lip Plumping Pen
I think this is another really great launch from ELF Cosmetics. It’s a really easy to use, easy to wear shiny gloss with a hint of colour and I am really enjoying the shade Toasted.
The formula gives the lips a super refreshing, yet non-irritating minty feel, and this lasts a while a lips. It feels lovely and moisturising and comfortable and looks soft and smooth on the lips. For £8, I think it is a brilliant dupe for some of the more expensive lip pens on the market. If you have been looking at the Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balms, but are not sure if you can justify spending £35, then try these pens from ELF.
Obviously, the ELF packaging is a lot more basic, and nowhere near as glamorous as Hourglass’ gorgeous slim pens which or twist-up rather than click, but the effect on the lips isn’t too different. They both have a minty feel and give a nice volumising gloss finish. Hourglass is a tad shinier I think. ELF Toasted would make a good alternative to Hourglass Trace.
If you are on a budget, I don’t think you can beat the Clout Pout from E.L.F.
