My Review of Sisley Paris Phyto Teint Perfection Foundation
I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this foundation because I am addicted to glow and this formula is a matte one. Having said that, it isn’t a flat matte at all, and what I like most about this foundation is that it delivers a velvety finish that still has a very natural looking radiance.
What skin type is it good for?
I have combination skin and find it really good on my skin type. Because it has a matte finish, I find that it lasts really well on my skin and I can get away without powdering which is always good news for me.
The product has been formulated to suit all skin types and has lots of skincare in it. So even if you have fairly dry skin, this should work for you. Having said that, drier skin types are probably best suited to a glowier foundation, and I think that this one is better suited to combination and oily skin types.
Do you need to powder it?
I haven’t felt the need to powder this foundation at all. It lasts really well without powder, however, if you are oily, you may want to set it lightly in any places you tend to shine. I’d personally see how it goes without powder and then make a judgement call. The transfer-proof finish may mean you can skip powder completely.
Is it easy to apply?
I have been using a buffing brush to apply the Sisley Paris Phyto Teint Perfection Foundation and I find that a little goes a long way. Start with one pump and then add more if you want to build up coverage in any areas.
What is the coverage like?
This foundation offers really good coverage and will be great if you are looking to cover any redness, dark spots, and blemishes. I find one layer is enough to even out skin tone and really perfect my complexion.
As I said, a little goes a long way, so you can sheer it out, and layer it up depending on the look you are trying to achieve. I find it is also great for blurring out pores, fine lines and imperfections.
What is the finish like?
This is a matte finish foundation however, there’s still a nice amount of natural looking radiance. Because I love a glowy finish, I have been pairing with the new Shiseido Revitalessence Skin Glow Primer (review here) and this gives me the perfect amount of glow.
It is also really nice over a thicker moisturiser, like the new Drunk Elephant Bora Barrier Repair Cream*. Depending on how you prep your skin, you can really tailor the finish with this foundation.
