My Review of MERIT Beauty Signature Lip Matte
First of all I have to say, I really like the packaging. It is super chic and classy, and brilliantly understated, just like all of the MERIT products.
The first shade I tested out was the neutral shade called Classic, because I am always on the hunt for a matte nude shade that is east to wear and doesn’t dry out the lips.
The texture is lovely. It is smooth and creamy applies really easily, delivering good opaque colour payoff. You can go for a soft smudgy tint, or build up for a bolder, more defined look. The formula doesn’t dry out the lips and reapplies really nicely.
As I have only properly tested the nude shade, Classic, it is hard to tell how long wearing these lipsticks are because I think staying power is less obvious with nudes shades. Classic lasted very well though – I think a couple of hours but I did have to reapply after lunch. I am also loving the brown nude shade, Antibes. Will try and share picture wearing them soon.
I will update as soon as I try out one of the red shades. I am absolutely loving the look of Power.
